Is Claude Duet on Android?

Yes. Anthropic's product page answers "Where can I use Claude Duet?" with iOS and Android apps, or claude.ai on a computer. Several press reports at launch mentioned only iOS and the web, which is why you may have seen conflicting claims. Like the iPhone version, Claude Duet Android only works for accounts with an invite from the waitlist.

Find the official listing
Search Google Play for "Claude Duet" and check that the developer is Anthropic. Avoid APK download sites: an app that reads your email and can prepare payments is the last thing you want from an unofficial source. Also note that "Duet" is the name of an unrelated third-party app for Claude Code; it is not Claude Duet Android.
Keep Claude Duet alerts working on Android
Android phones are more aggressive than iPhones about pausing apps in the background to save battery. For most apps that is fine. For Claude Duet Android it can mean the morning brief or an approval request arrives hours late, or only when you open the app.
Battery optimization
Open Settings, then Apps, then Claude Duet, then Battery, and choose Unrestricted (the wording varies by manufacturer). Samsung, Xiaomi and some other brands add their own "sleeping apps" lists; make sure Duet is not on them.
Notification channels
Android lets apps split notifications into channels. In the app's notification settings, make sure every channel is on and set to make a sound or pop on screen for the ones you care about. The agent does its work in the cloud either way; these settings only affect whether you hear about it. If alerts still do not arrive, see troubleshooting.
Approving from an Android phone safely
Your phone becomes the place where payments, sends and signatures get approved, so treat it like a key. Anyone who can unlock it can approve whatever the agent has prepared, which makes a strong screen lock more important than it was when the phone only held chats and photos. Fingerprint or face unlock plus a PIN is the sensible minimum.
Lock-screen privacy
Under Settings, then Notifications, choose to hide sensitive content on the lock screen. You still see that something needs you, but not the contents of a draft offer letter or invoice.
Read before you tap
A notification is a summary. Open the draft, check the recipient and the amount, then approve. If you are rushed, decline; the task waits in the thread until you are at a desk.
Work profiles
If your phone has a separate work profile managed by your employer, think about which profile you install the app in. A personal Pro or Max subscription belongs in your personal profile, and it is worth checking your company's rules before connecting work accounts at all.

Use the Claude account that received your invite. Your memory, skills and connected apps carry over, and the thread is shared with the iPhone app and the web, so you can switch devices without losing anything.
